I Am Your Father (English for "I am your father") is the title of a biography from 2015 about the British actor David Prowse and his role as Darth Vader .

The biography covers the bodybuilder and actor David Prowse. It tells about his life as an actor and as a Darth Vader actor in particular. It is highlighted in particular that Prowse was not allowed to lend the voice of the well-known character (originally spoken by James Earl Jones ) and was replaced by another actor ( Sebastian Shaw ) when the mask was removed in the key scene in Return of the Jedi .
