Iffland Hören ( spelling iffland.ören. ) Is a German hearing acoustics - family company specializing in hearing aids , individual hearing protection , in-ear monitoring , tinnitus advice and cochlear implant follow-up care.

history

In 1956 Kurt Iffland opened the first shop of his hearing aid sales company in Stuttgart's Königstrasse , followed by branches in Munich (1957), Karlsruhe (1957) and Ulm (1958). In 1961 the company was renamed Hörgeräte Iffland . Kurt Iffland received the Federal Cross of Merit in 1977 from Federal President Walter Scheel for his “extraordinary and varied personal commitment to the needs of hearing acoustics and this profession” . In 1981, Kurt Iffland became Federal Guild Chief Master. 1983 en took in Stuttgart otoplasty - laboratory on the operation.

In 1989 Günter Osswald took over management from his father-in-law. Since 2008, when the name was changed to Iffland Hören , the company has been run in the third generation by Marc Osswald. 2018 was hearing test - app released with which the functionality of the hearing can be checked in the self-test in your own home. The company currently employs around 270 people and has 62 branches in Baden-Württemberg , Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate .

Products

In addition to hearing aids and hearing protection, the company also offers custom-made in-ear headphones for musicians and athletes under the Iffland Music brand ( spelling iffland.music. ) . The 14 Iffland Music sales outlets are each affiliated with Iffland Hören branches.

Initial and continuing education

In cooperation with the state vocational school for hearing aid acousticians in Lübeck , Iffland Hören offers dual training to become a hearing acoustician . A working group made up of several masters accompanies the trainees on their way through the company. A separate training program offers, among other things, additional qualifications in the areas of pediatric acoustics , audio therapy , CI acoustics and in-ear monitoring.

Iffland Hören has been supporting hearing impaired people in Togo since 2015 with hearing aid donations and regular fitting of hearing systems on site.In 2019, a hearing center was opened in the hospital in Kpalimé . The commitment was honored with the Future Hearing Award in 2018. Iffland Hören promotes popular sport and supports several clubs. The company is involved in the sports department for the hearing impaired at SV Vaihingen , which is actively committed to the inclusion of athletes with hearing loss.
