Career

After several national championships Figueiredo was runner-up at the IBSF Amateur World Championship in 2009 , the winner of which receives a ticket for the Snooker Main Tour the following year. Thanks to a wildcard from the WPBSA , he was still allowed to take part in the 2010/11 professional tour . Through consistently solid performances, he made it to cut-off point 1 of the 2010/11 season in 67th place. He achieved the best results when he reached the round of 64 at the 2010 World Open and the 2010 Shanghai Masters .

He managed to stay on the professional tour via the PTC rankings and started the 2011/12 season in 72nd place . However, he only played the Brazil Masters 2011 and the qualification for the World Snooker Championship in 2012 and therefore fell back in the world rankings, so that he could not qualify for the following season.

For the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons he received a nomination from the American Continental Association for the Main Tour. In the 2013/14 season, however, he only took part in qualifying for the 2014 World Snooker Championship . There he lost to Martin Gould in the third of four qualifying rounds .

At the Welsh Open 2017 he reached the round of 16, where he lost to Stuart Carrington .

In addition to snooker, he occasionally also plays pool at competitive sports level. He qualified for the WPA 10-Ball World Championship in 2008 ; However, eliminated without a win in the preliminary round.
