Igor Andrejewitsch Polyanski ( Russian Игорь Андреевич Полянский ; born January 16, 1990 in Krasnoyarsk , also transliterated as Polyanski by the International Triathlon Union ) is a Russian triathlete , Russian sprint triathlon champion 2010 and a permanent member of the national team.
Career
2009 Poljanski was in the Russia Cup in the junior ranking thirteenth and sixth at the Junior World Championships on the Gold Coast. Since then, Poljanski has only competed in the elite class.
In 2010 Poljanski appeared in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux for the club Saint-Raphaël Tri. At the opening event, the triathlon in Dunkirk on May 23, 2010, Poljanski was 49. Saint-Raphaël Tri did not send any French to the start: Dmitri Polyanski (fifth overall), Karl Shaw (22nd), Olivier Marceau (37th) .), Kristian Mac Cartney (42.) and Igor Poljanski (49.). In Paris (July 18, 2010) Igor Polyanski finished 9th and at the Grand Final in La Baule (September 18, 2010) 41.
Igor Polyansky is the younger brother of the Russian professional triathlete Dmitri Polyansky (* 1986). Igor, Dmitri, Dmitri's wife Anastasija Polyanskaya and Igor's girlfriend Lyubow Ivanovskaya competed in the 2011 French club championship for the Saint-Raphaël Triathlon club . In June 2012 he became European triathlon champion with the Russian mixed relay in Israel.
In May 2016, he finished fifth at the European Triathlon Championships. Polyansky competed for Russia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on August 18 and finished in 31st place. In 2017 he became the Russian Vice State Triathlon Champion behind his brother Dmitri.

He has been married to the Russian professional triathlete Lyubov Ivanovskaya (* 1989) since the end of 2012 .
