Igor Armaș ( Russian Игорь Андреевич Армаш Igor Andrejewitsch Armasch ; born July 14, 1987 in Chișinău , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Moldovan football player . The defender won the Moldovan National Cup with Zimbru Chișinău . Armaș is also a Russian citizen.
Career
Armaș comes from the youth of Zimbru Chișinău . With the multiple national champion he played in the front area of the Divizia Națională , but could not break through the supremacy of Sheriff Tiraspol with the team . In 2007 he managed to win the Moldovan Cup with the club through a 1-0 win over FC Nistru Otaci . After he had finally established himself as a regular player at the beginning of the 2008/09 season, he became team captain of the Moldovan club. In addition, he played his way into the Moldovan national team , for which he played in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup .
At the end of December 2008, the Swedish club Hammarby IF announced the commitment Armaş. At his new club, he immediately established himself in the regular formation. At the side of Andreas Dahl , Freddy Söderberg and Sebastian Castro-Tello , however, he missed relegation as bottom of the table. He then decided to change clubs again and at the end of January 2010 he joined the Russian club Kuban Krasnodar in the 1st football division , where he signed a four-year contract. In 2017 he switched to league rivals Anzhi Makhachkala .
