Igor Valeryevich Sakurdajew ( Kazakh Игорь Валерьевич Закурдаев ; born January 8, 1987 in Ridder , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh ski racer .

Career

Sakurdajew contested his first international race on February 1, 2005 at an FIS race in Innichen . In 2009 he took part in the World Cup. His best result was 34th place in the slalom. In 2011 , 2013 and 2015 he also took part. In 2010 and 2014 he took part in the Winter Olympics. In 2014 he reached the 26th place in the combination. At the Winter Asian Games 2011 he won the gold medal in the Super-G and in the combination, as well as the silver medal in the downhill. In the World Cup he made his debut in December 2010 in the Super-G of Val Gardena , where he was 55th. He achieved his best World Cup result in January 2014 in the combination of Wengen as 40.
