Illumø or Illum is a small Danish island in the Little Belt in the Helnæs Bay between Helnæs and Fyn , which has been uninhabited since the late 1980s . The island belongs to the parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) Svanninge Sogn , which until 1970 belonged to Harde Sallinge Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , since then to what was then Faaborg Kommune in Fyns Amt , which was established in Faaborg-Midtfyn with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 Municipality in the region of Syddanmark has risen. The island is 3.5  km long and 84.6  hectares in size.
