Pinkie Rollo

Marianne "Pinkie" Rollo (* 1933 ) is a former American racing driver .

Career

Pinkie Rollo drove sports car races in the USA from the mid-1950s. The petite little American, whose birth name was Wheatley, was first married to racing driver Fred Windbridge , who was a works driver for Briggs Cunningham . Her second husband, Reed Rollo , was also a racing driver.

In 1960, still as Mrs. Windbridge, she drove the Sebring 12-hour race for the first time with Denise McCluggage . The duo drove an Osca 187S from Camoradi Racing and retired after 34 laps with engine failure. In 1967 the two women drove a Ferrari 275 GTB Spyder for Luigi Chinetti and his North American Racing Team in 17th place in the overall standings.

Rollo drove road and circuit races in North America until the mid-1970s, then she retired from racing.
