Imke Sönnichsen

Imke Sönnichsen (born May 5, 1970 in Niebüll ) is a German illustrator who focuses on children's book illustrations.

Live and act

Imke Sönnichsen grew up near the Danish border and studied graphic design in London and Mainz . The Jungbrunnen Verlag became aware of Imke Sönnichsen during their studies and in 1999 published the first children's book, The Little No! Illustrated by Imke Sönnichsen . . This was followed by another book at Thienemann Verlag . Her thesis, The Findel Egg , was also published by Thienemann Verlag.

Since then she has illustrated numerous books for children and young people, calendars, postcards, greeting cards, short films and posters. Some of her books have already been translated.

Today Imke Sönnichsen lives and works in Aachen .
