India Morel (until 2008 only India , * 17th May 1977 in Compton as Shamika Brown ) is an American dancer, singer and former porn actress .

Life

Brown grew up with her mother. She started her career as a stripper in Los Angeles . She got in touch with the porn industry through a casual acquaintance. She became a fixture in the hardcore business and starred in around 170 films. She was the exclusive star of the film company Video Team, which specializes in African American films for five years. She later worked for KaraDavis.com, an Internet porn site, for a few years, and then for the Moonlite BunnyRanch in Nevada , a legal brothel . She has also launched an underwear brand called XSAA'O .

Well-known productions are the African American lesbian porn series "Sista" and the films by Snoop Dogg . Her best-known role was in Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle , produced by Larry Flynt (founder of Hustler magazine ), which Snoop Dogg himself (under the pseudonym "Michael J. Corleone") directed . This is an avant-garde production that combines hip-hop music and heavy pornography . This novel combination turned out to be a great economic success. The film won the "Top Selling Release of the Year" award at the 2002 AVN Awards .

Musical career

India was a member of the R&B band Harmony Innocents , which was founded in 1994 and signed to Quality Records. She can be seen as a dancer in many music videos, including videos by Madonna (in "Music"), Sisqó (in "Dance With Me"), Snoop Doggy Dogg, Jay-Z (in "H To The Izzo"), Mary J. Blige (in “Family Affair”), Juvenile (in “Set if Off”) and Ja Rule (in “Living It Up”). India also made appearances on the Howard Stern Show and the Tera Patrick Show.

Her first solo album Role Play contains ten songs and was released on June 20, 2006 on her own independent label "Black Widow". India provided the vocals for Walking Tall with actor The Rock . Since 2008 she has been working as a singer / songwriter under the stage name India Morel. In the 2010s she hosted an internet radio show called The Dollhouse . In 2011 she made a novel she had written ( Seductive Company ) available for download, and in 2016 she published her autobiography through a grant publisher.
