Inger-Kristin Berg (born December 19, 1968 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a former Canadian biathlete . She started at two Winter Olympics .

Kristin Berg studied forestry at the University of Alberta and lives in Calgary. The Canadian with Norwegian roots started biathlon in 1990 and competed for Foothills Nordic Ski Club Calgary . Berg made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof in 1993 and was 60th of an individual. In the following years, she mostly placed in the middle to lower ranks. Culmination of the first season was to participate in the Olympic Games in 1994 from Lillehammer . Berg ran there in 51st place in the individual and was with Jane Isakson , Myriam Bédard and Lise Meloche 15th in the relay competition. At the Biathlon World Championships in Canmore in 1994 , where the non-Olympic team competitions were held, she came in sixth with the Canadian team at home. In the following season Berg missed first World Cup points by just one place in her best career race to date, finishing 26th in Hinton, Canada . This she finally won after a season break at the 1996 Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding . In the individual race, she came in 14th and also achieved her best career result. In the overall standings for the season, Berg came 59th. A final highlight in the Canadian's career was her return to the Olympic Games . In 1998 she was used in Nozawa Onsen at the Nagano Games only in the season. With Bédard, Nikki Keddie and Michelle Collard she came in 17th and last place. In 1999 Berg started several times in the World Cup and was seventh in Lake Placid with the relay . It was also Berg's only single-digit World Cup result. After the season she ended her career.
