Ingrid Marianne Fischbach b. Sweden (born June 25, 1957 in Wanne-Eickel ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1998 to 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag and Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Health .

Life and work

After high school in 1976 graduated from Ingrid Fischbach one Studied German and history at the University of Education in Dortmund , which they in 1983 with the state examination for teaching in the secondary ended. Then she worked as a teacher at the police school in Selm - Bork and from 1995 at the Erich Fried Comprehensive School in Herne .

Ingrid Fischbach is Catholic, married and has one daughter.

Political party

Fischbach joined the CDU in 1990 and was chairwoman of the CDU district association in Herne from 1998 to March 2007. From 2011 to 2017 she was state chairwoman of the women's union in North Rhine-Westphalia .

From 1994 to 1998 Ingrid Fischbach was a member of the Herne City Council.

From October 26, 1998 to October 24, 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag . From 1998 to 2005 she was a member of the Children's Commission . From September 2007 to December 2009 she was chairwoman of the group of women of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. In the 17th legislative period (since 2009) she was deputy chairwoman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag for the areas of family, senior citizens, women and youth, labor and social affairs, employees and the church. From November 2010 to 2012 she was a member of the federal executive committee of the CDU in Germany.

Ingrid Fischbach always entered the Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia.

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012, Ingrid Fischbach was included in the shadow cabinet of the top candidate Norbert Röttgen as Minister for Families and Women.

Since the summer of 2012, she and twelve other Union Members of the Bundestag have been campaigning publicly for income tax equality of registered same-sex partnerships with marriage .

From 2013 to 2017 Ingrid Fischbach was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Health and since July 5, 2017 patient representative and authorized representative of the Federal Government .
