Ingrid Gamarra Martins (born August 22, 1996 ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Gamarra Martins mainly plays on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has won four singles and five doubles to date.

She played her first professional tournament in April 2012. In 2013 she received a wildcard for qualifying for the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianópolis , her first tournament on the WTA Tour . However, she already lost her opening match against Adriana Pérez with 0: 6 and 2: 6. In 2014 she started, also with a wildcard, with her partner Nathaly Kurata in the main draw of the doubles competition at the Circuito Feminino Future de Tênis 2014 in São Paulo , where the two have already lost their opening match. The following week she received a wildcard for the qualification for the Rio Open in Rio de Janeiro , where she was defeated by the later round of 16 Alison Van Uytvanck in her opening match with 1: 6 and 1: 6. In 2015, she started with a wildcard in qualifying for the Rio Open 2015 , where she lost in the first round to Verónica Cepede Royg with 1: 6 and 1: 6. In the main draw of the doubles competition, she and her partner Carolina M. Alves were defeated by the duo Hsu Chieh-yu and Eliza Kostowa with 3: 6 and 4: 6. In the qualification for the Brasil Tennis Cup 2015 she failed after an opening win against her compatriot Erika Drozd Pereira in the qualifying round in three sets to Andrea Gámiz . In the doubles competition, she and her partner Erika Drozd Pereira lost to the later finalists María Irigoyen and Paula Kania, who were in second place, with 3: 6 and 2: 6.
