Cannon Lake is a processor microarchitecture from the chip manufacturer Intel , which was released in 2018 with the Core i3-8121U. Cannon Lake processors are processors that Intel is producing for the first time using a 10 nm process. However, this new manufacturing process is causing major problems for Intel, and production planned for the end of 2015 in 2012 was postponed to 2018. Only U and Y mobile processors with Cannon Lake architecture should appear first.

The Core-i3 8121U is the only processor of the announced Cannon Lake generation.

history

On May 16, 2018, the Intel Core i3-8121U was the only model to date to be listed in the product database without comment, after the year 2015 was published as the release date for the 10 nm node at IDF 2013 in San Francisco. In presentations at Computex 2019, Cannon Lake was no longer mentioned, except for a slide that clearly outclasses it. Intel does not have a website about the Cannon Lake generation processors. No "Recommended Customer Price" is given, which otherwise happens at launch or shortly afterwards. At the end of October 2019, Intel discontinued all products with this solder base CPU on December 31.
