from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Comet Lake is Intel's development name for the fourth 14 nm Skylake architecture generation, and represents the successor to the Whiskey Lake mobile and Coffee Lake desktop processors. Intel announced that processors of this generation will be generally available for the 21st August 2019.

Together with processors from the 10 nm Ice Lake manufacturing technology , they are marketed as “10th Generation Core” processors.

Changes from Whiskey Lake

  • Up to six cores; L3 cache up to 12 MiB
  • A turbo boost that is up to 300 MHz higher
  • Support for LPDDR4x-2933 memory
  • Support for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) AX201
