The International Darts Open is a ranking tournament in darts, which is organized by the PDC . It is an event of the European Darts Tour , which is carried out as part of the PDC Pro Tour . The venue is the Sachsen-Arena in Riesa . It was held for the first time in 2015.
The current title holder is Welsh Gerwyn Price , who prevailed in the final of 2019 with 8: 6 legs against the Englishman Rob Cross .
format
The tournament will be played in a knockout system . The game mode is a best of 11 legs in the first three rounds , a best of 13 legs in the semifinals and best of 15 legs in the final . Each leg is played in double-out mode.
Prize money
The tournament will give away a total of £ 140,000 in prize money, an increase of £ 5,000 over the previous year. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
