society

Neagu's career began in 2008 in Oțelul Galați's second team in League III . In May 2009 he was used by Dorinel Munteanu for the first time in the first team in League 1 . There he was able to fight for a regular place in the 2009/10 season . He celebrated the greatest success of his career by winning the championship in 2011 . In the summer of 2013 Neagu left Oțelul and joined record champions Steaua Bucharest . There he only made four appearances in the 2013/14 season and thus had only a small share in winning the championship.

For the 2015/16 season, he and his teammate Gabriel Iancu were loaned to the Turkish second division club Kardemir Karabükspor . With this club he reached the runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus promoted to the Süper Lig . After this success, he was first signed by Steaua Bucharest, including the transfer fee, but was loaned to the Cypriot first division team in the 2016 summer transfer period .

National team

In November 2011, Neagu was appointed for the first time by national coach Victor Pițurcă in the squad of the Romanian national team. He made his debut on November 15, 2011 when he was on the starting line-up for the friendly against Greece . As a result, he was in the next two international matches again in the starting lineup. On February 29, 2012 he came to his last appearance against Uruguay . In November 2012 and August 2013 he was nominated by Pițurcă, but not used.
