Irina Emeliantseva ( Russian Ирина Александровна Емельянцева , Irina Alexandrovna Emeljanzewa ; born September 26, 1973 in Selzo , Bryansk Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Russian composer of orchestral works and chamber music in various line-ups and pianist .

Live and act

Emeliantseva studied at a music college in the city of Brjansk with Mark Belodubrowski. There she received a prize at the Regional Piano Competition for the best interpretation of Prokofiev's works. Under the influence of the music of ANSkryabin and NA Roslavets , she decided to devote herself to composition . That is why she then studied composition with SM Slonimski and piano with N. Eismont at the St. Petersburg Conservatory , where she worked as an assistant after graduating. Further studies followed at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin with Paul-Heinz Dittrich (graduation with distinction) and at the “Carl Maria von Weber” University of Music with Ernst Helmut Flammer.

In the course of her career she has worked with the Dresden Symphony Orchestra , the Russian Chamber Philharmonic St. Petersburg , the Schlosstheater der Musikakademie Rheinsberg, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Cottbus State Theater, the Ensemble "Mosaik" Berlin, the Chamber Ensemble "Neue Musik" Berlin, the Trio " Boulange "and many other ensembles and performers together. Her orchestral works have been conducted by well-known conductors such as Juri Serebrjakow (Юрий Серебряков), Jonathan Stockhammer , Evan Christ, Jürgen Bruns and others.

Her compositions are regularly performed at numerous concerts and festivals. In addition, their music and concert appearances are often broadcast on different radio channels.

As a musician, Emeliantseva gives concerts internationally, especially in the field of contemporary music. At numerous festivals and concerts she played world premieres and Russian premieres with compositions by, among others, Dittrich, Messiaen , Roslawez , Lutosławski and Humel as well as her own works. She has recorded several CDs (most recently with Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich ). Her works have been published by Simon Verlag für Bibliothekwissen .

Awards

Emeliantseva has received numerous composition prizes, including a. with the price of the international competition Zwukowyje Puti in Saint Petersburg , the price of the Berlin Senate (color variations for chamber ensemble), the price of the Academy of Arts (Vega for orchestra), the price of the international competition for the space of the Transparent Factory in Dresden . In addition, she received numerous grants, residencies (e.g. composer in residence at the Künstlerhof Schreyahn from the Ministry of Culture of Lower Saxony, Wiepersdorf Castle etc.) and composition commissions (e.g. European Music Summer in Berlin, composition "Lichtsplitter", Apocalypse for the ensemble "Neue Vokalisten" Berlin) and much more.
