Isfrid Kayser

Isfrid Kayser OPraem (born March 13, 1712 in Türkheim , † March 1, 1771 in the Marchtal Monastery ) was a German composer and Premonstratensian .

Life

Throughout his life, Kayser was concerned with researching, perfecting and spreading baroque church music . As the son of an organist and schoolmaster, he spent almost his entire life under the roof of the Premonstratensian monastery in Marchtal . His music care and his clean compositional work made him a role model u. a. for Ildefons Haas .
