Isidore Kaulbach

Isidore Kaulbach (born August 5, 1862 in Hanover ; † in the 20th century) was a German writer and editor for the Hannoversche Anzeiger .

Isidore Kaulbach was born in the royal seat of the then Kingdom of Hanover in 1862 as the daughter of the royal court painter Friedrich Kaulbach and half-sister of the history and portrait painter Friedrich August Kaulbach, who was born in Munich in 1850 . She grew up in the "Kaulbach'schen Haus" , an ensemble of buildings that was originally built as a studio by the architect Christian Heinrich Tramm on behalf of King George V of Hanover and a later built villa on Waterlooplatz near the Leineschloss . About her youth, during which she came into contact through her father with artists such as Johannes Brahms , Clara Schumann , Franz Liszt , Joseph Joachim , Ernst von Wildenbruch or Anton Rubinstein , she later wrote her autobiographical and illustrated work Friedrich Kaulbach. Memories of my father's house . Another half-brother of hers was the painter Sigmund Kaulbach (1854-1894). The painter Anton Kaulbach , born in Hanover in 1864, was her brother and her sister was the painter Antonie Kaulbach, born in Hanover in 1875 .

Isidore Kaulbach was still writing novels at the time of the German Empire , which appeared in multiple editions in the series Lutz's crime and detective novels .

At the time of the Weimar Republic, Kaulbach published as an editor for the Hannoversche Anzeiger from the beginning of the 1920s.
