Island Games 1997

The 1997 Island Games were the seventh edition of the games. They took place in Jersey from June 28 to July 4, 1997 . Around 2000 athletes took part. The main venue was the Springfield Stadium in Saint Helier .

Participating islands

Iceland participated for the last time, as independent island states were no longer admitted from 1999. Hitra returned to the Games after 1989 and St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha after 1987.
