It's Alright with Me is the third album of American Soul - singer Patti LaBelle from the year 1979th
background
After the first two albums more or less flopped, this time LaBelle worked on the album with producer Skip Scarborough. But despite a lot of promotion work, this album was a flop too. Two years and an album later, LaBelle left Epic Records and moved to Philadelphia International. Known titles on this album are the Disco -Stück Music is My Way of Life and the ballad Come What May . However, although released at the height of the disco wave, the album doesn't contain too many dance rhythms. Ballads and slow pieces dominate.
reception
Overall, according to Allmusic 's Alex Henderson, the “material on It's Alright with Me is satisfactory, but not remarkable”. It is not a bad, but also not an essential LaBelle record. Two and a half stars out of five were awarded.
