action

Alice, in her late thirties, who works in the fashion business, is on the plane on her way back from Brazil . Next to her sits the 20-year-old Balthazar, who finds a USB stick she has lost while getting out of the car. However, he is no longer able to point out to Alice why he leaves a note for her at her workplace. When Alice finds this, the two spontaneously arrange to meet in a bar to return the stick. However, it turns out that Balthazar does not have the stick with him, but keeps it at home. Alice agrees to accompany him home. For the upcoming moped ride, Balthazar puts on a helmet, which is photographed by two coincidental work colleagues of Alice and posted on the Internet in a misleading way. When they arrive at Balthazar, Alice and Balthazar meet his father and his much younger friend Anissa; After some searching, Balthazar can find the stick and gives it back to Alice.

The next day, someone whispers behind Alice's back at work, another colleague draws her attention to the photo on the Internet. She talks about her love life with her friend, Simon, who is friends. Back at home, Alice devotes herself to excessive music consumption. She opts for a more provocative outfit and visits Balthazar at university; both go to an art exhibition together. Alice is invited by her sister to dinner with the gynecologist Richard. However, the pairing attempt fails due to Alice's behavior.

After a party, Alice and Balthazar get closer, they kiss wildly and have sex. He goes on a romantic tour with her on the moped. He asks why she chose him of all people. Alice has doubts, above all she blames herself for not really interested in Balthazar at the beginning, but simply wanted to use him to manipulate your image.

The company boss is welcomed at work. She doesn't like the models she uses, but she becomes aware of Balthazar and Alice can't dissuade her from her decision. However, Alice doesn't seem to be able to convince Balthazar to do a photo shoot. But at the last minute he appears and quickly upsets the photographer with the request for more politeness. The shooting is finally canceled, after which there is an argument between Alice and Balthazar when he learns that she only wanted to use it. Back home, Alice goes to the usual meeting places and retraces the shared experiences.

Finally, she see Balthazar at the university, where she goes to the lectern, talks about her mistakes, says she always thinks of him. The two get back together. Alice has given up her job and had a book she had written printed; they both ride happily on their moped into the sunset.

Reviews

Le Figaro said the film asserts itself as an "unconventional [...] romantic comedy off the beaten path". Le Parisien described the film as "zippy" and "well written from start to finish".

The French magazine Première found that the story was predictable, but the film still stands out from other films of the genre because of its formal advantages and charming actors. "The luscious Virginie Efira, a kind of Belgian Cameron Diaz ," shows herself "as sexy as it is funny, while Pierre Niney [...] confirms his innate talent for comedy". “Your chemistry” also “fills the screen” and makes you forget “the exaggerated meshes of the script”.
