Ivano Edalini (born August 20, 1961 in Zug , Switzerland ) is a former Italian ski racer .

biography

For the first time in the World Cup points Edalini came on February 9, 1982 in the giant slalom in Kirchberg in Tirol , where he was 14th. During his career, the slalom was his strongest discipline. Here he reached the podium for the first time on December 10, 1984 when he was third in Sestriere . In the same place he repeated this placement on December 1, 1985. On January 6, 1986 Edalini won his first World Cup race with the parallel slalom on Hohe-Wand-Wiese in Vienna (this only counted for the Nations Cup). His second and last World Cup victory was on December 16, 1986 in the traditional slalom of the 3-Tre race in Madonna di Campiglio ahead of Ingemar Stenmark .

Ivano Edalini ended his career on March 19, 1988 with a 15th place in the slalom of Åre .
