Jewish cemetery (Niederstetten)
The Niederstetten Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Niederstetten , a town in the Main-Tauber district in northern Baden-Württemberg .
history
The dead of the Jewish community Niederstetten were buried first in the Jewish cemetery Schopfloch or Jewish cemetery Unterbalbach , from 1730 on the Jewish cemetery Weikersheim . In 1737 a separate cemetery was built, which was last enlarged in 1933. The Jewish cemetery in Gewann Salmhof has an area of 35.69 acres . Today there are still 478 tombstones , the oldest tombstone is from 1739. The last burial took place in 1939.
At times Jews from Archshofen , Creglingen , Gerabronn and Mulfingen were also buried here.
