Jewish cemetery (Nochern)
The Nochern Jewish Cemetery in Nochern , a local community in the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate , is a cultural monument . It is located in the area "Hinter dem Weiße Stein" on the edge of the forest outside the village.
history
The result is the common cemetery of the Jewish community Weyer belonging places Weyer, Lierschied and Nochern in the second half of the 19th century. It was occupied until 1936. In 1944 the cemetery was forcibly sold. 25 gravestones ( mazewot ) have been preserved in the 25.40 ares large cemetery that is not fenced in . In addition to the gravestones, there is a lying commemorative plaque for the Gerson and Oster families (both from Nochern), Ackermann (Weyer) and Grünebaum (Li Various) who were murdered during the Nazi era .
