Jürgen Hans Wolfgang Ströbel (born December 16, 1947 in Daubersbach ) is a Bavarian politician ( CSU ) and a former member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Education, work and family

Jürgen Ströbel attended elementary school from 1954 to 1962 and the vocational school from 1962 to 1965 . This was followed by a vocational school from 1963 to 1966 , a technical college from 1967 to 1969 and the Telekolleg II from 1972 to 1974 with the qualification for a technical college . He passed his farm assistant examination in 1968 and did an internship abroad in England in the same year . In 1975 he passed his master craftsman examination as a farmer. Together with his wife he runs a farm with arable land, forest, dairy cattle, game, chickens and an attached holiday home in Daubersbach . He is an Evangelical Lutheran and married, has three grown children and four grandchildren.

Jürgen Ströbel is a member of the CSU and was on the municipal council of Rügland from 1978 to 2014 and has been on the district council of Ansbach since 1990 . From 1992 to 1999 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate . From October 6, 2003 to October 19, 2008 Jürgen Ströbel was a member of the state parliament . There he sat for his group as a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Forestry. In the Bavarian state elections in September 2008 , he was unable to get back into parliament due to the huge loss of votes by the CSU.

With the election of Gerhard Wägemann as district administrator for the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district , Ströbel moved back into the state parliament as a successor in December 2011 .

In the state election on September 15, 2013, he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament as a direct candidate for the CSU for constituency 505 Ansbach-Nord . In this legislature he is a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Relations and a member of the Committee for Food, Agriculture and Forestry.

In July 2017, he announced that he would no longer run for a seat in the 2018 state elections.

Other activities

From 1991 to 2012 he was President of the Middle Franconian Farmers 'Association, from 1997 to 2012 Deputy President of the Bavarian Farmers' Association and from 2001 to 2013 Chairman of the Regional Association of the Bavarian Dairy Industry and Chairman of the Franconian Dairy Association. In the course of his career he was also a member of the advisory board of N-ERGIE in Nuremberg, agricultural advisory board of the Bavarian Insurance Chamber and the supervisory board of Analytik in Milch GmbH in Munich.
