Jürgen Westphal (born January 17, 1955 in Fröndenberg / Ruhr ) is a German singer , music producer and publisher .

Life

Jürgen Westphal first completed a commercial apprenticeship. He began his musical career in the 1970s as an interpreter of hit titles , which were not very successful.

In 1987 he founded his own label and music publisher , which he ran in Berlin until 2007. The publishing house produced, among others, Lys Assia , Anna-Lena , Bert Beel , Siw Malmkvist , Nina Lizell , Ann & Andy , Tina Rainford , Anne Karin , Gaby Rückert , Patrizius , Nina and Mike , Graham Bonney , Klaus Beyer, Michael Karp , Julia Dalih , Bella Vista , Ulli Schwinge , Gaby Berger, Elfi Graf , Steffi and Bert and Ray Miller .

He took a mid-1990s vocal duet with Angie van Burg, the daughter of the Dutch show host Lou van Burg , a German cover version of of Joe South authored Title Games people play ( games ) on. This title became an airplay success . Another cover version in a duet with Angie van Burg by Je t'aime mon amour was a respectable success and a best seller. In 2006 a German version of Sexy Eyes appeared with a text by Gregor Rottschalk, who had already produced the title Cafe Tropical in 1991 with Joachim Heider as composer with Jürgen Westphal.

He worked regularly as a radio presenter at Radio VHR. He wrote the biography "Tina Rainford. When stars fall ”and writes lyrics for Lys Assia and other performers.

In 2010 he recorded other titles with his duet partner Angie van Burg, including Liebe geht, Liebe geht , a German version of the hit Freedom come, Freedom go , and thus performs regularly live on Mallorca and in Germany. In 2014 the duo recorded a version of the Ding Dong song ; the title was published in English, German, French and Spanish. They chose the name van Burg project feat. Jay West. In 2016 a new recording of the title Je t'aime moi non plus was published in French.

In 2017 Jürgen Westphal moved to the USA and now lives in Rochester , New York in the USA. There he manages his copyrights and continues to write lyrics and publish new songs with his project. In September 2018, he founded the music publisher ONTARIO music & publishing LLC in the USA, based in Rochester, NY, Monroe County .

Under the pseudonym "Jack Ontario Soundorchestra" he arranges and produces international evergreens and chart hits in an instrumental version and as a karaoke version .
