JP Morgan China Squash Open 2019

The JP Morgan China Squash Open 2019 took place from September 4th to 8th, 2019 in Shanghai , People's Republic of China . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2019/20 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2019/20 PSA World Tour took place. It also belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category .

Last year's winners were Mohamed Abouelghar for the men and Raneem El Weleily for the women. Abouelghar could not compete due to injury. In the men's final, Ali Farag and Mohamed Elshorbagy were the two top seeded players. Elshorbagy won the game 11: 3, 11: 9, 5:11 and 11: 8. In the women’s final , Nour El Tayeb won the final against last year's winner Raneem El Weleily with 11: 9, 9:11, 11: 9, 9:11 and 12:10.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 24 players each. The eight best players were seeded and received a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard received Zhou Zhitao and Li Dongjin each a spot in the main draw. Li withdrew shortly before the start of the tournament, and Ho Tze-Lok moved into the field for her .

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 112,000 each.
