action

The thakur of a small Indian village is highly respected. His son Shera, however, is aggressive and always gets his way. Because of this, it's not that popular. Only Champa, an orphan, thinks highly of him because he saved her from violent men. Despite her love for him, Shera is only interested in Reshma, who in turn is in love with Lakhan, a brave villager.

Suddenly mysterious events happen in the village. During a wedding procession, the bride suddenly disappears. The second wedding procession is similar, only this time it is Lakhan's sister Gauri who was in a relationship with Amar. Now the village is in the care and wants to solve the mysterious case.

Several people, such as the Guru or Shera, are suspected. At Shanti's wedding procession, Lakhan accompanies the daughter of Thakurs in the sedan chair. Nothing happens. Only at Reshma and Lakhan's wedding does another incident occur. Here it turns out that a gorilla-like monster is killing the brides. When Shera, Lakhan and an inspector seriously injure the monster, the monster transforms back and one recognizes the Thakur, who was possessed by an evil spirit.

criticism

"With 129 minutes" Jaani Dushman "is relatively short (no wonder with the cutting), it never gets really boring and the music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal has momentum. To see the many stars is also a pleasure and on a trash level "Jaani Dushman" is the most wonderful material anyway - right up to the finale, in which the hairy monster finally reappears and the plot takes a few more absurd jumps until everything is just fine is still gaga. Today, of course, this has what it takes to become a cult. And I can't deny charm to the all-star trash either. "
