Jacob Lucasz Ochtervelt
Jacob Ochtervelt (* 1. February 1634 in Rotterdam , † 1682 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch painter of the Baroque .
According to the art historian Arnold Houbraken , Ochtervelt studied together with Pieter de Hooch probably between 1646 and 1655 under Nicolaes Berchem . In 1655 Ochtervelt married Dirkje Meesters in the Dutch Reformed Church in Rotterdam. Many of his pictures can now be seen in internationally renowned museums.
