Jakob Reinhold Nasackin (Jakow Gustavowitsch Nasakin Russian : Яков Густавович Насакин; born October 28, 1801 in Neu-Werpel ; † May 1, 1899 in Reval ) was a major general in the Imperial Russian Army of Estonian origin.

Jakob Reinhold N. began his military career in an artillery - Brigade and then served from 1822 in the Russo-Finnish Guard - Regiment . In this regiment he belonged from 1824 to the guard of honor , which was used as a guard at the Senate building in Saint Petersburg . On December 14, 1825, during the Decembrist uprising on Petrovskaya Square near the Senate, he commanded a 24-man guard as a guard. Some of the masses were about to storm the Senate and attacked the honor guard. Under the leadership of the young guard on duty Jakob Nasackin the first attack was, until the arrival of reinforcements, are blocked. Tsar Nicholas I thanked him with the words: "Nasaken, I will never forget you". On 17 December 1825 he was in recognition of his bravery to lieutenant promoted and with the Order of St. Vladimir (fourth class) decorated . On December 24th of the same year he was transferred to the Winter Palace and introduced to the Tsar . From 1826 to 1833 he continued to serve in the Finnish Guard Regiment and was promoted to staff captain. Ultimately he became company commander of the 1st Jäger Company in the Finland Regiment. With the promotion to colonel on February 21, 1835, he took over the Jäger Regiment in Reval, in autumn 1835 he was appointed regimental commander of the Vitebsk regiment. This he led to his promotion to major general until 1844.

Jakob Reinhold Nasackin came from the Russian-Baltic noble family Nasackin . His father was the Russian cavalry master Adam Gustav Nasackin (1770 - 1855), who was married to Anna von Tiesenhausen (1772 - 1841). The Russian major general Reinhold Johann Nasackin (1787 - 1831) and the writer Friedrich Nasackin (1797 - 1876) were Jakob's cousins. His brother Gustav Georg Nasackin (1803 - 1876) was also a Russian major general. Jakob married Alexandrine Captsevich (* 1821) in 1837, from this marriage came Ivan (born 1838), Sofia (1840), Anna (1841), Elizabeth (1843), Nikolai (1845) and Nadezhda (1847). He died on May 1, 1899 in Reval and was buried on May 12, 1899 in the Cicelinna cemetery in Reval.
