Jan Carlos Hurtado Anchico (born March 5, 2000 in El Cantón ) is a Venezuelan football player who plays for the Argentinian club Boca Juniors as a striker.

Career

society

Hurtado started his career at Deportivo Táchira FC . He made his professional football debut on July 31, 2016 in a 4-0 away defeat by Monagas SC . He scored his first two goals the following day against Deportivo Petare . In 2018 he moved to Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina . On his debut on September 28, he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 away win over Boca Juniors in the Copa Argentina . In the following season 2018/19 he scored 2 goals in 17 league games for the club.

In 2019, Hurtado moved to Boca Junior, where he signed a contract until 2023. He made his Primera División debut on July 29 against Club Atlético Huracán .

National team

Hurtado has been named to the Venezuelan U-20 selection for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup . He scored the sixth goal in the tournament in his team's 7-0 victory over Vanuatu and reached the final with his country. He made his debut for the Venezuelan national team against Argentina on March 22, 2019 when he came on as a substitute in the 89th minute.
