Jan Kolář (born March 21, 1981 in Boskovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with EK Zell am See since July 2016 .

Career

Jan Kolář began his career as a hockey player at HC Pardubice , for whose professional team he made his debut in the extra league in the 1999/2000 season . In his rookie year , he scored one goal and one assist in 15 games. In the following season he ran parallel for Pardubice in the Extraliga and the HC Berounští Medvědi in the second-class 1st division . The winger spent the entire main round of the 2001/02 season at the second division club HC Dukla Jihlava before returning to HC Pardubice for the extra league playoffs.

From the 2002/03 season Kolář was a regular at HC Pardubice in the Extraliga, but continued to occasionally play in the 1st division for HC Hradec Králové until 2008 . With Pardubice he failed in 2003 and 2007 only in the playoff final, in the seasons 2004/05 and 2009/10 he won the Czech championship title with his team .

In 2012 he was able to repeat this success before he was obliged in May of the same year together with Petr Koukal from Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk from the Continental Hockey League . For Neftechimik, however, he only completed six KHL games before returning to his home club in September 2013. During the 2012/14 season he was temporarily loaned to HC Slavia Prague and Neftechimik. In July 2016, the Czech moved to EK Zell am See .

International

In 2004 Kolář took part in the Euro Hockey Tour for the Czech Republic . In the course of the tournament he scored one goal in nine games and gave three assists.
