Jana McKinnon
Jana Naomi McKinnon (* 1999 in Korneuburg ) is an Austrian - Australian actress .
Life
Jana McKinnon was born to an Austrian and an Australian and grew up in Australia and Vienna . At the age of four she gained her first acting experience in a short film made by a family friend.
She had a leading role in 2015 in the film Beautiful Girl by director Dominik Hartl alongside Lilian Klebow and Hary Prinz , who play their parents in it. For this role she was honored as the best young actress at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Film Festival. She was also nominated for the best young actress at the 2016 Romy Awards.
She had another leading role in the movie Everyone who falls has wings (director: Peter Brunner ), which was awarded the special jury prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in July 2015 and was released in Austrian cinemas in September 2016.
In 2018 McKinnon starred alongside Alli Neumann in Kim Frank's feature film Wach . For her portrayal in, she was awarded the New Faces Award for best young actress in 2020 . In the Amazon series Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo , a remake of the film Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo , she played the role of Christiane F.
