Jasberg is a district of the Dietramszell municipality in Upper Bavaria .

geography

The place is located in the Bavarian Oberland region in the middle of the pre-Alpine moraine landscape about five kilometers from Dietramszell and four kilometers from Otterfing .

history

Documented Jasberg the first time in 1100 as Jaubesperc in a land register of the monastery Tegernsee mentioned.

Infrastructure and sights

Located away from the traffic routes from Munich to Bad Tölz and from Wolfratshausen to Holzkirchen , the village was largely able to retain its rural character.

The branch church of St. Quirin and St. Katharina, built in 1546, is worth seeing. The patronage testifies to a very close connection to the Tegernsee monastery. In the middle of the 17th century the church was redesigned in Baroque style and restored in a neo-Gothic style in 1853 .

Jasberg transmitter

A VHF transmitter has been set up on the edge of the village because of the exposed location. From here, among other things, the program of Radio Alpenwelle is broadcast.
