Jason John Lowe (born September 2, 1991 in Wigan ) is an English football player . He is mainly used in the right midfield, but can also play as a right-back. He is currently under contract with Bolton Wanderers .

Career

Blackburn Rovers

Lowe was accepted into the youth academy of the Premier League club Blackburn Rovers at the age of 12 and subsequently trained there. In September 2009 he signed his first professional contract with the Rovers , which tied him to the club for two years. After two more years, during which he found himself regularly in the extended squad of the first team, he finally made his competitive debut on January 8 in the 1-0 success over the Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup . His debut in the league followed a week later when he replaced the injured David Dunn in the second half against Chelsea . After these missions Lowe should be loaned to Aberdeen FC in the 2011 winter transfer period , but was ultimately kept in Blackburn due to ongoing injury problems of various regular players .

After the loan deal ended, he returned to the Blackburn Rovers first team and was subsequently used more frequently in the Premier League . He made his starting line-up debut against Arsenal in September 2011 .

Oldham Athletic

Just two months after the decision to keep Lowe at Blackburn, a loan deal was finally struck. In March 2011 he was awarded to the English third division club Oldham Athletic until the end of the season. In the seven games he played with the Latics , he scored two impressive goals for a midfielder.

National team

Lowe was supposed to play for England's U-19 national team at the 2009 U-19 European Football Championship for his country, but his use was prevented by an injury shortly before the tournament.

He finally made his international debut for England's U-20s in a friendly against France. He then participated in the U-20 World Cup 2011 in Colombia in part and led the team even as a captain. England failed in the second round to Nigeria.

On October 10, 2011, Lowe made his debut for England's U-21s in the qualifier for the U-21 European Championship 2013 against Norway .
