Career
Ali Crawford, who was born in Lanark, a small town 50 km south-east of Glasgow , began his professional career at the Scottish club Hamilton Academical , which is not far from his hometown in the South Lanarkshire region . Crawford played for the Accies known by the nicknames from 2007 to 2010 in the Youth Academy . In January 2010, the midfielder made his debut on Matchday 19 of the Scottish Premier League 2009/10 against Dundee United . He made his professional debut in the 1-0 home defeat at New Douglas Park after a substitute for Australian James Wesolowski . By the end of the season Crawford was in six other league games under team manager Billy Reid for use. In the second season with the Accies he was used 14 times, but was relegated to the First Division at the end of the season . Nonetheless, the midfielder extended his contract for another two years in May 2011. In the following season, the club reached the final of the Scottish League Challenge Cup against FC Falkirk , in which Crawford was absent due to injury. In the First Division he was only a supplementary player under Billy Reid. In April 2013 Alex Neil was the new coach, who replaced the previously dismissed Reid, who signed in November of the same year as an assistant coach at the Swedish club Östersunds FK . Crawford has now become a regular player and completed 36 games in the Scottish Championship 2013/14 , and the promotion to the Premiership was celebrated.
In 2018 Crawford moved to the Doncaster Rovers in the English third division.
