Jason Richardson (athlete)
Jason Richardson ( Jason Alexander Richardson ; born April 4, 1986 in Houston ) is an American hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .
At the 2003 World Youth Championships in Sherbrooke , he won over 110 meter hurdles and 400 meter hurdles .
In 2008 he was starting NCAA champions for the University of South Carolina and won the U23 NACAC championships.
Third in the US championships, he qualified for the 2011 World Championships in Daegu , where he secured the title in 13.16 seconds. He benefited from the subsequent disqualification of the fastest runner, Dayron Robles .
In 2012 he was nominated for runner-up in the US eliminations for the London Olympics, where he won the silver medal. He finished fourth at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow .
