Jayson Craig Bromley, Jr (* 28. May 1992 in New York City , New York ) is an American American football poker players. He played for the New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL) in the position of defensive tackle , and is currently under contract with the DC Defenders in the XFL .

college

Bromley was born into an extremely difficult family environment. As the son of a crack addict , he was born addicted to drugs. Just a few months later, his father, a pimp, was convicted of murder. Bromley was raised this way by his aunt and uncle. After no university showed interest in him, he was initially accepted as a walk-on at Stony Brook University . It was only when he was able to shine at an annual selection game, in which the best young players of New York City and Long Islands met each other, that he attracted attention and received a scholarship from Syracuse University . He played for four years for their team, the Syracuse Orange, college football , where he could not only put 120 tackles , but he also got 13 sacks .

NFL

New York Giants

In the NFL Draft 2014 he was selected in the third round as a total of 74th by the New York Giants . In his rookie season, Bromley was only called up in eight games. It was used as a replacement tackle or in the special teams . Apart from four games in 2015, in which he appeared as a starter , he has so far not got beyond the role of reservist. In 55 games for the Giants, he was able to set 76 tackles and achieve 2.0 sacks.

New Orleans Saints

In May 2018, he took part in a three-day training camp at the New Orleans Saints as a trial . Bromley was able to convince and was taken under contract. Shortly before the start of the regular season , however, he was released again. In mid-September he was signed again, played a game, was released again, only to be signed again in mid-October.

San Francisco 49ers

On August 3, 2019, Bromley signed a new contract with the San Francisco 49ers , but was released before the start of the regular season .

XFL

In October 2019 he was drafted by the DC Defenders for the re-established professional league XFL .
