Jean-Marie Dumazer
Jean-Marie Dumazer ( February 17, 1929 - February 21, 2019 ) was a French racing driver and motorsport official.
Racing career
In the 1950s, Jean-Marie Dumazer worked as a driver for the racing team of the small French car manufacturer Vernet et Pairard , which was founded in 1950 by Just-Émile Vernet and Jean Pairard . After finishing twelfth in the Tour de France for automobiles in 1953 on a Renault 4CV , he only drove vehicles from Vernet et Pairard.
He had his best racing season in 1956, when he was fourteenth in the Le Mans 24-hour race and sixteenth in the Paris 1000 km race .
Motorsport official
After the end of his active career, Dumazer worked for many years in various functions in motorsport and the automotive industry. In the 1970s and 1980s, he was company spokesman at Elf Aquitaine .
