Jean-Pierre Cottanceau SSCC (born January 14, 1953 in Ussel , France ) is a French religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Papeete .

Life

Jean-Pierre Cottanceau joined the congregation of the Arnstein Fathers in 1970 and studied in Strasbourg . He put on 16 April 1979, the perpetual profession from and received on May 10 in 1980 by the Archbishop of Paris , François Cardinal Marty , the ordination .

Since September 2015 he has been Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Papeete .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Papeete on December 15, 2016. He was ordained episcopate on February 18 of the following year by the Archbishop of Nouméa , Michel-Marie Calvet SM . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Hubert Coppenrath and the bishop of Taiohae o Tefenuaenata , Pascal Chang-Soi SSCC.
