Jean-Pierre Vuillemin

Jean-Pierre Vuillemin (born January 21, 1967 in Rambervillers ) is a French Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Metz .

Life

Jean-Pierre Vuillemin studied at the Interdiocesan Seminary of Lorraine and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Saint-Dié on June 11, 1994 .

After ordination, he was first chaplain in Bruyères and Mirecourt . From 2001 to 2004 he studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris , where he received his doctorate in both rights (Dr. iur. Utr.) In 2006 . From 2004 to 2011 he was an official of the interdiocesan ecclesiastical court of the dioceses of Saint-Dié, Nancy and Verdun and of the Archdiocese of Dijon . Since then he has been the official of the interdiocesan tribunal in Besançon . Since 2004 he has also been pastor in Dompaire and from 2012 pastor and dean in Épinal .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Thérouanne and auxiliary bishop in Metz on January 8, 2019 . The bishop of Metz, Jean-Christophe Lagleize , ordained him episcopal on February 3 of the same year in the cathedral of Metz . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Saint-Dié, Didier Berthet , and his predecessor Jean-Paul Mathieu .
