Jemo is an uninhabited island to the west of the Ratak chain of the Marshall Islands .
The small, oval island with an area of 0.22 km² lies between the atolls Ailuk (42 km northeast of Jemo) and Likiep (35 km southwest of Jemo). From the island, a narrow coral reef extends six kilometers to the northeast. The reef area including the island occupies 3.78 km².
The island was cleared around 1900 by residents of the Liekiep atoll and planted with coconut palms and then only inhabited seasonally for copra harvest . Before that, the island was visited about once a year, with a limited number of birds being hunted and their eggs collected.
