Jenni Pirita Susanna Kangas (born July 3, 1992 in Seinäjoki ) is a Finnish javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Jenni Kangas made her first international appearance at the Youth World Championships in Bressanone in 2009, where she was eliminated from the qualification with 45.00 meters. At the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tampere , she finished eighth. In 2011 she was eleventh at the Junior European Championships in Tallinn with 50.93 meters. In 2013, she narrowly missed a medal in fourth at the U23 European Championships in Tampere. In 2015 she took eighth place at the Universiade in Gwangju . In 2016 she qualified for the first time for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where she finished ninth with 59.41 meters. In 2017 she increased her best performance at the World Student Games in Taipei to over 60 meters and won the bronze medal. The following year she reached the finals at the European Championships in Berlin , where she was twelfth with a width of 54.92 m.

In 2017 and 2018 Kangas became Finnish javelin champion.
