Jennifer Klein (born January 11, 1999 in Tulln an der Donau ) is an Austrian soccer player who has been under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim since 2018 .
Life
Jennifer "Jenny" Klein grew up with her parents, an older brother and her twin sister in Tulln on the Danube.
Career
societies
Her football career began in 2006 with the youngsters at FC Tulln, where she played with the boys until she moved to SV Neulengbach in 2013. She played her first competitive game for the fighting team in the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga on May 11, 2014 against USC Landhaus , when she was substituted on for 17 minutes. Klein scored the first competitive goal on September 9, 2015 in the 1st round of the ÖFB Ladies Cup against MFFV 23 BWH Hörnwald. In the league, she scored her first goal on June 11, 2016 in the game against SK Sturm Graz .
At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Klein moved to the reigning champions SKN St. Pölten . She has been playing in Germany for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim since the 2018/19 season , initially with the U20 team in the second division. With the 2019/20 season, she will be promoted to the Bundesliga team.
National teams
Klein went through Austria's U national teams. As the captain of the 1999/2000 class, Klein led Austria's U17 and U19 teams in numerous international matches.
Klein was nominated for the first time for the A-Team as part of the preparations for the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 . As the youngest player (18 years), she made it into the final squad of team boss Dominik Thalhammer . When she reached 3rd place, she was not used for the national team. She made her debut on November 23, 2017 in a 2-0 win in the World Cup qualifier against Israel in the BSFZ-Arena in Mödling . She came on in the 64th minute for her SKN teammate Nadine Prohaska .
