Jeremias Antônio de Jesus

Jeremias Antônio de Jesus (born May 27, 1966 in Atibaia ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Guanhães .

Life

Jeremias Antônio de Jesus was ordained a priest on December 10, 1993 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Guanhães on May 30, 2012. He received his episcopal ordination on August 4th of the same year by the Bishop of Bragança Paulista , Sérgio Aparecido Colombo ; Co-consecrators were José María Pinheiro , Old Bishop of Bragança Paulista, and Gilberto Pereira Lopes , Old Archbishop of Campinas . As a motto he chose Fiat Voluntas Tua . The inauguration in the diocese of Guanhães took place on August 19 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on July 4, 2018.
