Jeremy Nicholas

Jeremy Nicholas (born September 20, 1947 in Wellington , Shropshire , England ) is an English actor, writer, musician, speaker and poet. He is President of the Jerome K. Jerome Society and Music Director of the Deanery Church of St Mary the Virgin , Oxford .

Life

In Stafford grew up, attended the Nicholas Wycliffe College in Gloucestershire (1957-1965) and the drama school in Birmingham (1966-1969). He began his theater career at the Prospect Theater Company (1969/70) and at the Citizens Theater in Glasgow (1970–1972). He performed his solo version of Three Men in One Boat at the Edinburgh Festival (1980) and at the May Fair Theater (Stratton Street, London, 1981/82). It earned him the nomination for the Olivier Award ( Most Promising Newcomer ). He has composed acting and film music for BBC Television .

Nicholas wrote and presented over 60 radio features for BBC Radio . For England, Green and Pleasant Land , he received the Sony Gold Award in 1996 . He transmitted and read a good 20 books for radio broadcasts and audio books . For BBC Radio 4 he wrote and set 150 lyrics (1977-1991). In 2000 he starred in The Fast Gentleman, which he dramatized . A Tale of the Norfolk Broads (Keble Howard, 1930).

Currently writes Nicholas regularly reviews and features for Gramophone . He wrote 100 booklets for compact discs . He wrote four standard works on classical music . With his particular interest in piano music and pianists , he was a juror at the 1st BNDS piano competition in Rio de Janeiro. We owe him the biographies of Leopold Godowsky and Frédéric Chopin . Recently he has been working on the 4,000 piano pieces for the left hand alone.

Nicholas is married and has one daughter.
