Jesse Lawson
Jesse Estill Lawson (born March 30, 1986 ) is an American rock musician .
He was best known for his work as the guitarist of the post-hardcore band Sleeping with Sirens , with which he was active between 2010 and 2013.
Career
In 2010 Lawson joined the US band Sleeping with Sirens . With the group he brought the albums Let's Cheers to This (2011) and Feel (2013), both of which were able to place in the US charts . Together with singer Kellin Quinn , he released acoustic versions of various pieces by the band on YouTube . Due to the great response from the fans, the group finally took the acoustic EP If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack , which was released in 2012.
With the group he toured increasingly through Europe and North America , but also through Southeast Asia and Australia . On October 16, 2013, Lawson announced that they would break up with the band. He gave personal reasons for his decision. In another interview in October 2015, Lawson said that he could no longer identify with his work on Sleeping with Sirens. He also gave jealousy as the reason for his exit, while at the same time saying that he still has a friendly relationship with the band's musicians.
On March 3, 2014, Jesse Lawson started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to fund his debut EP, called Chapter II , which was produced without the help of a record label. The EP was released on May 20, 2014. In August 2014, Lawson signed a contract with the artist management team The Artery Foundation . In March 2015 he played for the first time as a solo artist on the South by So What? in Grand Prairie , Texas .
After releasing the three stand-alone singles Somewhere in Maui , I Got Lost and Tall Trees and Long Drives , he released his debut album Projections in July 2015 .
Private
Jesse Lawson has been married since 2012 and has one child. He proposed marriage to then-girlfriend Ashley while the band was set on the Warped Tour in Portland , Oregon .
He is a fan of Ryan Adams and also listens to rap and R&B . Lawson names Biggie and Tupac among his favorite artists .
