Jesse Lee Soffer
Jesse Lee Soffer (born April 23, 1984 in Connecticut ) is an American actor . Since 2013 he has been part of the main cast as Jay Halstead in the television series Chicago PD as well as in guest appearances in the mother series Chicago Fire .
Life
Jesse Lee Soffer started acting at a young age. He had his first role in the film Matinée when he was nine years old . To study at New York University , he moved from his then home in North Tarrytown to New York City .
After Jesse Lee Soffer was seen as a child actor in various productions between 1993 and 1998, including the films The Brady Family and The Brady Family 2 as well as in the series A Twin Seldom Comes Alone , he took a break until 2004. Between September 2004 and April 2008 and from July to September 2010 he played the role of Will Munson in the soap opera Young and Passionate in over 490 episodes . For this role he was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy Award . Soffer also has guest appearances in CSI: Miami , The Mentalist , Rizzoli & Isles and In Time - Your Time Is Running Out. Between 2012 and 2013 he played Nate Devlin , the brother of the main character, played by Jordana Spiro , in the short-lived series The Mob Doctor . Since 2013 he has appeared as a recurring actor in the role of Jay Halstead on the NBC series Chicago Fire . He has been taking on the same role in its spin-off Chicago PD since January 2014 .
